Hardware details of Samsung's Apple Watch killer, Gear A, leaked

Samsung is believed to be launching a new smartwatch in September, dubbed the Gear A or Orbis. A new leak is now giving us a better idea of the hardware of the wearable, telling us that it will be quite similar to the Gear S in its approach, albeit with a different form factor.
It is believed that this device will have a flat circular display and not a curved panel like the Gear S. The Gear A is also said to be featuring 3G connectivity by default, much like the Gear S, allowing users to browse the internet or even make phone calls.
The manufacturer is supposedly baking in Wi-Fi support into the smartwatch by default, which should prove to be efficient compared to standard Bluetooth device pairing. The Wi-Fi only model will be reportedly known as SM-R720 while the 3G/cellular model will be marketed as the SM-R730.
Other hardware details like the display size, battery life, storage, RAM etc are unknown at this point.
We're curious to see if the smartwatch will remain an exclusive to Samsung smartphones like previous Tizen wearables or if the rest of the Android audience will be included in the mix as well.
Either way, the Gear A could be an important wearable for the company as it will have to compete with the Apple Watch along with the myriad of Android Wear smartwatches that will be available in the market by then.
By limiting the Gear smartwatches to Samsung phones, the company is losing out on a lot of sales. So we're hoping the company will change that with this year's model.
