It was a popular drink during 1950s and a big hit among the Hollywood hipsters, who frequented the famous tavern on the Sunset Strip in the United States. 2.Long Island Iced Tea A cocktail made with vodka, gin, tequila and rum with a dash of lemon; this drink was invented in 1920’s. More popular variants of this cocktail include cola. This drink has a higher alcohol concentration as it contains rum and tequila along with vodka. Outside USA, the Long Island Iced Tea is made with cola and lemon or orange juice without alcohol. This drink is served on the rocks over the ice in a highball glass. The most common garnish accompanying this drink is a lemon wedge. It is one of the most popular drinks in the US and has also been shown is popular culture. It mainly got popular among young women by frequently been shown in HBO show, Sex and The City.
