Rich and famous in Milan get free Apple Watch, Apple Watch Band and more

AAh, to be among the rich and famous. Everything is thrown
at you when you have money. We've seen all of those
singers like Drake, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams wearing
their free Apple Watch Edition and stainless steel Apple
Watch models . On Friday, the scene shifted to pricey Milan
eatery Carlo e Camilla where the fabulously wealthy met to
see and be seen. Many received a free Apple Watch.
We know this event took place on Friday evening thanks to
Instagram pictures posted by Umberta Gnutti Beretta. Yes,
she is the wife of Beretta firearms president Franco Beretta.
Also at the restaurant was British cyclist Will Carling, who
said that he was given a new Apple charger for the U.K. and
a red Apple Watch Band by Jony Ive. Carling is the former
captain of England's national rugby team and Ive is noted to
be a rugby fan.
Earlier on Friday, Apple showed off the Apple Watch at the
same restaurant. Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller and
designer Marc Newson appeared as a glass display, similar
to the ones being used at Apple Stores, was placed in the
room. Ironically, Italy is not one of the countries that will be
launching the Apple Watch on April 24th.
But Milan is one of the centers of the world's fashion
industry and Apple considers its smartwatch to be just as
much a piece of fashionable jewelery as it is a tech device.
To that end, the Apple Watch will be on display through April
19th at this year's Salone del Mobile design fair.
