Before installing the ROM, let’s look at the specifications of the smartphone. Micromax Yu was launched in December last year with a price tag of INR 8,999. It is loaded with 2GB of RAM, 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and 16GB of internal memory. Flashing custom ROM requires clearing of cache, Dalvik Cache, System and User Data. So backup all your essential stuff like photographs, videos, text and applications. Install MIUI 6 on Micromax Yu
- Download ROM zip and Google Applications from the link below.
- Transfer the files to root directory of your external storage.
- You must have a custom recovery installed on your phone.
- Now Boot into the recovery mode, by powering on the smartphone while holding Volume Up and the Power button simultaneously till you see the boot logo. After boot logo pops up release both keys.
- Now Backup your current ROM to be on a safer side.
- Then Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, User Data, System and Internal storage.
- Install Zip, Browse the ROM zip you just transfer to the root directory of your external storage.
- Flash it.
- Followed by Google Applications
- Clear Cache and Dalvik Cache.
- Reboot to the system.
Now you have you successfully installed MIUI 6 on Micromax Yu now you can enjoy Interface of Xiaomi on your smartphone. I don’t know why people are attracted toward MIUI even if its a memory hog.
