Third-party Snapchat Discover client for Windows Phone feeling the heat to get shut down

The popularity of Snapchat is not disputed. In fact, since its
initial release in 2011, the company already has a valuation
in the tens-of-billions of dollars . However, a sore little
corner for the photo messaging service has been the
development, and eventual removal or third-party
applications for Windows Phone. Snapchat only makes its
application for iOS and Android, and even stopped accepting
feedback from users asking for support for the distant-third-
largest mobile platform. Recently, Snapchat expanded its
platform by introducing a feature it calls Discover. Discover
connects various media-driven content versus a social
platform algorithm.
Rudy Huyn is an active developer for Windows Phone, he is
the talent behind the popular 6sec Vine client as well as the
6tag third-party Instagram app. His latest app is called
6discover, and as you might guess from the name, it is a
third-party app that delivers the same content to Windows
Phone that Snapchat Discover provides to iPhone and
Android users.
6discover is brand new on the scene and already tallying
high-praise from those that have downloaded it. However,
like other third-party apps that have been “discovered” on
Windows Phone and shut down, Snapchat is already letting
Huyn know that it is not pleased with the existence of this
new app that seeks to emulate Discover.
Based on the letter Huyn received, it is evident that
Snapchat is not interested in having any type of presence on
the Windows Phone platform. Given how aggressive
Snapchat has been at clearing the Windows Phone deck of
any application that can interface its services, it is a
certainty that 6discover’s days are numbered.
