cRdroid for Redmi 2 is now available to download, if you own a Xiaomi Redmi 2 then you can flash cRdroid based on Android v4.4.4 KitKat. There aren’t much ROMs as of now for the device, but we can expect good traction after a couple of months.
Before installing cRdroid for Redmi 2 you must be prepared your smartphone to avoid some silly mistakes.
- Make sure you have custom recovery installed on your smartphone, I would prefer TWRP but CWM is equally good. This tutorial is based on TWRP.
- Your smartphone should be sufficiently charged to last the procedure. 50% of charge should be sufficient.
- Enable USB Debugging on your smartphone to ensure a backup plan if something happens.

- Backup all your essential stuff because the procedure involves wiping cache, dalvik cache, system, and user data.
Let’s Install cRdroid for Redmi 2
- Download the zip file of cRdroid for Redmi 2 from the link below along with google applications for KitKat.
- Now transfer both the file to root directory of your SD card.
- Turn off your smartphone.
- Now turn on your Redmi 2 by pressing and holding Volume Up and Power Key simultaneously.
- Inside recovery Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, System and User Data.
- Back in Main Menu, select install and browse cRdroid zip file your transferred. (if you face any problem installing first time just reboot into recovery again and then flash the ROM.0
- Let it flash
- After flashing cRdroid for Redmi 2 then flash Google applications.
- Clear cache and Dalvik Cache.
- Reboot.
